JENNIFER FERRANDI -founder & Principal Designer
Jennifer leads the creative side of the business.
She has over 25 years of experience in residential and commercial interior design. She has been published in Luxe, Phoenix Home and Garden, Southwest Style and several design books, along with also having her own home used as a set for a variety of print ads and commercials.
She has worked on numerous local residences within the Arcadia, Estancia, Silverleaf, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley area. In addition, she has designed projects in multiple cities outside of Arizona, such as Pebble Beach, Palm Springs, Santa Fe, and Manhattan.
JUANITA GAGNARD - founder & chief OPERATING officer
Juanita runs the analytical side of the business.
She spent 20 years in the Financial Services industry, 15 of those years working for Charles Schwab. When her son started school, she decided to make a career change so she could be home more. She then began working part time in the interior design field helping with the accounting side of the business.
She enjoyed learning a new industry and took a love to her new profession which lead her and Jen to starting NoMad Design.
JOHN SCHMELZEL - Senior designer
John holds a BA in Communication with minors in Business and Political Science from The University of Arizona. He also earned his Associates Degree in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College, while interning at one of Arizona’s high-end trade showrooms. Here, he became well versed in the processes and histories of some of the world’s most exclusive manufacturers of furniture and textiles. John has gained invaluable experience working on residential projects throughout the state of Arizona, as well as residences in Hawaii and Texas.
KELLEN LEU - SENIOR designer
Kellen Leu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University and offers over eight years of experience in luxury residential design.
Her work is grounded in thoughtful space planning and strong architectural foundations, with a focus on creating interiors that feel both curated and lived-in. She especially enjoys incorporating unexpected details into otherwise understated spaces and loves layering vintage or vintage-inspired elements to tell a cohesive, intentional story. Each project is approached as an opportunity to balance function, beauty, and narrative - resulting in spaces that feel timeless yet personal.
KATIE WOODFILL - DESIGNer
Katie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University. Her background includes experience in both commercial and residential design, with her true passion rooted in residential work.
She specializes in creating homes that are both stylish and comfortable, thoughtfully designed to reflect her clients’ unique tastes and lifestyles. Katie is dedicated to crafting spaces that feel welcoming, functional, and truly like home.
AMBER TORNABENE - designer
Amber holds a BA in Communication and an Associate’s Degree in Interior Design, graduating with highest distinction.
Amber's background is rooted in high-end residential projects, where she brings a thoughtful approach to every space. She collaborates closely with architects and builders to ensure a seamless design process from concept through completion.
She has a deep appreciation for crafting interiors with intention - dreaming up spaces that are effortlessly livable and wholeheartedly home. Her work is defined by the careful layering of natural materials, textures, and timeless details—creating curated spaces that feel both refined and inviting.
jamie ferrandi - designer
Jamie has a passion for creating interiors that feel both beautiful and livable. She blends classic design with a modern sensibility, focusing on thoughtful details that bring warmth and personality to each space.
Jamie earned her degree in Urban and Regional Development, with a minor in Business, from the University of Arizona. After college, she began her career in wedding planning, where she honed her organizational skills and eye for detail before transitioning into interior design.
She takes a collaborative, client-focused approach to every project, working closely with homeowners to create spaces that feel intentional, layered, and personal.
kinga felker - designer
Originally from Chicago, Kinga earned her bachelor's degree in interior design from Illinois State University, where she honed her passion for residential design. After graduating, she spent two years designing homes in Illinois, gaining valuable experience in creating spaces that blend functionality with aesthetic appeal.
Now, based in Scottsdale, she brings her expertise and design sensibility to the desert landscape. She is dedicated to crafting thoughtful, innovative spaces that not only reflect her clients' visions but also enhance their everyday lives. Each project is a new opportunity to explore design possibilities, ensuring that every detail is tailored to meet the needs and desires of those who will call it home.
tracee kacer - studio manager
Tracee has her Associates Degree in Interior Design from Scottsdale Community College. She has over 10 years experience working on commercial and residential projects in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and California. After taking a break to work in Public Service, Tracee is excited to be back in the Interior Design Industry helping create beautiful, functional spaces for clients.
